THE INTERPLAY PROJECT is a contemporary performance lab that celebrates innovation and experimentation in the performing arts. Curated by The Contingency Plan, the production provides an opportunity for artists to play, challenge and discover new ideas around performance: How can a performance space be re-imagined and transformed from what is expected in a black box theatre? How can the art of live performance continue to surprise, provoke and engage with its audience? THE INTERPLAY PROJECT is thrilled to present six diverse, interdisciplinary artistic partnerships from emerging and established artists.

Areli Moran Mayoral & Ben Brown
Deanna Peters & Ahmed Khalil
Desirée Dunbar & Elliot Vaughan
Francesca Frewer & Jeremy Hartmann
Katie DeVries, Adrienne Barnes, Sammy Chien & Fuji Mooney
Luciana D’Anunciacao

Artists share the stage in this vibrant and diverse mixed-program of performance art. Edgy, witty and surprising, THE INTERPLAY PROJECT is for everybody. Audience members of all ages and backgrounds will find this production to be entertaining and thought provoking. MACC Studio Theatre’s black-box stage provides an up-close and personal setting for a full kinesthetic experience.
